All retail sales activity must take place at the licensed location only. You are not allowed to have offsite retail sales activity. Wholesale vehicle dealers do not need a display lot.

Wholesale dealers must have the sign mounted on or next to the office door with the business name in at least two-inch letters. As with the building, the lot must meet all local zoning requirements. If a dealer operates at night, the display area must be illuminated. Wholesale vehicle dealers are exempt from some display area requirements. You will learn more in your dealer course.
Records may be stored either via paper or electronically for a period of at least 4 years. Federal laws require some records be kept at least 5 years. wij will review an entire section on exactly what records to keep in your dealer oefening course.
As the state clearly lays out, each location a dealer operates must be an established and permanent place ofwel business. To be considered established and permanent, the location must have the minimum premises requirements outlined below.

If you make false statements during your application process you may have your licensed denied, cancelled, or suspended. You may also face criminal prosecution. If you or any owners/managers have a criminal history court records must be submitted with your dealer application.
When you receive your dealers license you must display it prominently. Don't keep it stored in a drawer make sure to raamwerk it and display it on a wall for all ofwel your customers to see. You can’t get a Texas dealer license without first securing a Texas wagen dealer bond that is valued at $25,000 or more. The only licensees who are exempt from this check here prerequisite are franchised dealers and people who do business with travel trailers or trailer/semi-trailers.
